We challenged ourselves to take a Nike trainer and create a series of photo realistic CGI renders showcasing some of the variations offered in the marketplace.
We started with a high resolution 3d scanned mesh which captured a lot of the imperfections we were looking to obtain, such as little holes, creases and layering of different materials.
We then optimised and cleaned up the mesh into something more usable.
Then into 3D painting software to bake the mesh information from the original scan onto our optimised mesh.
Next began the texturing and masking process which when setup correctly, gave us maximum control over how and where the various materials would appear.
Once complete, we put the 3d model and textures into our custom lighting studio for final rendering.
The end results speak for themselves. Highly realistic images for use in a multitude of scenarios including physical brochures, ecommerce stores, website configurators and more.
